All Residents Accounted for Following Fire at Valleyview

The fire was confined to one apartment. Residents will be housed at Northfield Hospital and local motels tonight.

All residents are accounted for after a fire broke out in an apartment at , 812 Linden St., Sunday night.

The fire, which was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, was put out quickly once Northfield firefighters arrived.

Assistant Fire Chief Tom Nelson said all of the roughly 40 residents of the assisted living complex were evacuated and appeared to be fine. Because smoke spread through the entire complex, residents will be staying either at Northfield Hospital or at local hospitals tonight.
