The Youth Volunteer Event of the year is a gathering of community members, youth groups and others, designed to build connections, encourage community involvement and enrich the lives of both residents and volunteers. This event will be held Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Northfield Retirement Community campus.

Volunteers should meet at NRC’s chapel to sign in before being assigned to projects including planting annuals in pots and planters, painting plant markers, and placing mulch around landscaped areas. Two local groups, Northfield in Bloom and Northfield Garden Club, are making it possible for youth in attendance to bring some potted plants home with them at the conclusion of the event.
