Early childhood developmental screening is a free health and developmental screening required by the state of MN to be completed once before your child enters public preschool or kindergarten.  It provides parents as well as the school district with general information about a child's growth and development, identifies possible health or learning concerns and connects families with programs in the district.  (The screening includes a hearing/vision screening that helps detect potential problems but is not a substitute for a comprehensive exam.)  Screenings are held in Spanish and English and the screening dates for the 2012-2013 school year are: September 10,15,20October 2,8,11,13November 6,10,12,15January 12,14,17February 5,9,11,21March 5,9,11,21April 8,13,18,22,30May 2,4,6 Please call Mary at Longfellow School, 507-645-1200 to make an appointment!
